Mall of America® Welcomes 17 New Retailers and Restaurants

Mall of America® welcomes wide array of new retailers and restaurants
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Even during an economic downturn when businesses are wary of adding new stores, Mall of America is bucking the trend by welcoming 17 new retailers, concepts and entertainment.
“We like to keep our retail mix fresh and cutting edge,” said Maureen Bausch, executive vice president for Mall of America. “This continually draws people to Mall of America and enables us to stay top of mind in a sluggish economy.”
Last year, the Mall welcomed more than 30 new retailers, which included exclusive retailers to the Midwest like Garage, Columbia Sportswear and True Religion. American Girl, Levi’s, LACOSTE, Ruehl and NikeStore are all exclusive to Minnesota.
Recently opened:
Bare Escentuals (E110)
Bare Escentuals, creator of bareMinerals®, opened their second boutique at Mall of America. This boutique features their award-winning bareMinerals SPF 15 foundation and a complete assortment of 100 percent pure bareMinerals Eyecolors, Blushes and 100 percent Natural Lipcolors. In addition, the Bare Escentuals Boutique will also carry their revolutionary skincare line, RareMinerals.
Personalization Station (E154)
Personalization Station is an exciting and interactive store that gives people the opportunity to create lasting memories by adding a personal touch to everything from wine glasses to piggy banks.
Sundog Trading Company (S276)
Sundog Trading Company is a casual lifestyle retailer focused on sustainable apparel, footwear and accessories. Many of Sundog’s collections are unique to Mall of America and the Twin Cities. The collections focus on outdoor and ocean lifestyles and include brands like Mission Playground, Horny Toad, Kavu , Reef, Patagonia,Timbuk2 and Haiku. Sundog also carries Sigg water bottles, recycled drinking glasses, lawn games and more.

Amazing Mirror Maze (N353)
This brand new family attraction is an illusion like no other. One of the largest mirror mazes in the world, it is a 2,500 square foot maze of “endless” hallways sure to give families a hoot.
Chic Boutique (N258)
From babies to grandmothers, this new boutique specializes in gifts as well as home and garden décor for females of all ages. Chic Boutique carries everything from onesies to wedding cake toppers and everything in between. This retailer is opening at Mall of America under the Retail Development Program.
Crave (S368)
Brothers Kam and Keyvan Talebi are bringing a familiar yet unforgettable dining experience to Mall of America. Locally owned and operated restaurant Crave will open its second metro area location April 21 on level three south near Macy’s. The restaurant will feature a full sushi bar and private dining room for events. Happy hour, late night specials and entertainment will be available in the bar regularly. Also new to this location is Sunday brunch with live music. The Talebi’s will maintain their commitment to using fresh, local ingredients on their menu featuring wood-oven pizzas, roasted meats, sushi, pastas and salads.
The Limited (S206)
The Limited is rolling out a new concept. This location is the second in a line of redesigned boutiques that capture the essence of The Limited’s new direction and focus. With a sleek, modern store design by New York architectural firm Deborah Berke & Partners, the new concept is an inviting update to the existing store layout, look and feel. Notable features of this new concept include innovative fitting room technologies with sensors that can automatically call a store associate when needed, and a comfortable seating lounge geared towards shopping partners, with books and magazines available for perusal.
Noodles & Company (S342)
The quick-casual, globally inspired noodle restaurant that serves a balanced menu of freshly sauteed Asian, Mediterranean and American cuisine will open at Mall of America. Noodles and company was founded in 1995 and is the world’s first quick-casual, globally inspired noodle restaurant.
Oakley (N260)
The sport and lifestyle brand that fuses art and science through its high performance sunglasses, prescription lenses and frames, goggles, apparel, footwear and accessories is opening a new prototype store at Mall of America.
Salad Fusion (N331)
The local owners of Wasabi Fusion bring yet another new style to the table with Salad Fusion. Opening their first fast food concept, Salad Fusion will offer a variety of salads with Thai, Japanese, French, Italian and Southwestern influences. Diners can choose from various combinations of fresh vegetables and fruits with seafood, chicken or beef.
Sanrio (N316)
Sanrio, parent company of Hello Kitty, is opening an exclusive boutique at Mall of America. This shop will feature stationary, gift and fashion accessory items for women of all ages.
Seasonal Living (N300)
Find home decor for every season at Seasonal Living. Coming into Mall of America under the Retail Development Program, this new store will offer Christmas decor all year including the popular Old World Christmas line. Shoppers will find seasonal gifts and home decor for other holidays and seasons throughout the year as well.
Sleepless in MN (170)
From elegant to goofy sleepwear and accessories, Sleepless in Minnesota creates the perfect bedtime story for anyone. Find a wide range of anything-but-sedate merchandise including amusing alarm clocks, fun toss pillows and slippers of every kind.
Stitch It (E132 & W118)
Founded in the early 1980s, Stitch It is the only family owned national chain that offers complete clothing alterations in the U.S. There are more than 100 locations. Stitch It is opening two locations at Mall of America.
Status II (S288)
Coming in to Mall of America under the Retail Development Program, locally owned sneaker and apparel boutique Status is opening a second, short-term location at the Mall called Status II. The boutique carries exclusive product lines not found at national chains including Crooks and Castles, Clae sneakers, Artful Dodger, Creative Recreation, DC Life and Generic Surplus.
Tea Garden (N392)
Locally owned and operated Tea Garden will bring its unique ‘tea bar’ concept to Mall of America. Opening as the first location in an enclosed mall, Tea Garden offers a large selection of bubble tea, chai, coolers, shakes, fruit tea and tea lattes. The tea bar also features a growing selection of loose tea and tea accessories. Tea Garden was founded in 2002 and has four other locations in the Twin Cities.
Wikki Hut (S372)
Opening its first U.S. location, Wikki Hut offers healthy quick serve options for lunch and dinner that does not compromise flavor. Diners select from a medley of rice, meat and vegetables. Three different combinations are available and prices vary.
